HR Group is the new operator of the Swiss Congress Hotel Seepark in Thun
The elegant 4-star Congress Hotel Seepark in Thun will be operated by the Berlin-based HR Group from 15 April 2022. The hotel will continue to operate under its established own brand. All employees as well as the management will be taken over.
The Berlin hotel operating company HR Group has signed a contract with the owner of the Congress Hotel Seepark, Artisa Micro Living AG, as of 15 April 2022. The aim of this cooperation is the professional continuation of the ongoing hotel operations.
"The Congress Hotel Seepark is a real institution, especially on the Swiss market. We are very pleased to include the hotel in our portfolio," says Markus Lewe CEO Lodging Division and Managing Director HR Group. "As a first step, we will get to know the staff, familiarise ourselves with the internal processes and ensure that the transition goes smoothly for staff, partners and guests."
"We chose HR Group out of the many interested parties because we believe they have the right tools to lead this unique hotel into the future in a dynamic, innovative as well as technological and flexible way. Thanks to HR Group's vast experience and presence, the hotel will also benefit from qualified resources and attract new professionals. This will be crucial for the future of the hotel, as one of the biggest challenges for the management of a hotel today is the shortage of skilled workers. We wish the staff of the Seepark and the new general managers every success," says Manuel Sassella, Member of the Board Artisa Group AG about the cooperation with HR Group.
The HR Group already operates six hotels in Switzerland, including five Mövenpick brand hotels and the Vienna House Zur Bleiche Schaffhausen. "Due to the already existing structures within the company and in Switzerland, the hotel will be able to draw on more resources in the future and benefit from a widely spread network, for example in the area of sales and marketing, without giving up its individuality," Markus Lewe continues.
The luxurious and multiple award-winning Congress Hotel Seepark is situated in an impressive location directly on Lake Thun with a view of the Swiss Alpine panorama with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The hotel has a total of 85 rooms, four junior suites and two panorama suites. It also offers a bistro, a gourmet restaurant and a wellness and fitness centre. The wellness area includes a Finnish sauna, a herbal hut, a whirlpool, a steam bath, a fitness room and a relaxation room. The hotel is a popular venue for events thanks to its 17 plenary, seminar and group rooms. Furthermore, the hotel's offer is aimed at leisure travellers. At the gateway to the Bernese Oberland, proximity to nature, an extensive programme of activities, a unique backdrop and good transport connections combine to create a unique symbiosis.
